Women's Night Out

Thank you to the Muskoka Community Foundation for funding this amazing Women's Night Out.  This night was designed for women living on a tight budget, looking to explore some fresh new ideas for cooking that are affordable and healthy. This night would not have been possible without the help of local dietitian, Lua.

December 6th, National Day of Rememberance and Action on Violence Against Women

On December 6th, 1989, a man took the lives of 14 women because he felt that they took his rightful place at Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal. This horrible and senseless tragedy started a movement to never forget the lasting impacts of sexism, hate and violence on our society.

Every year, we take time to not only remember these women, but to pay our respects to all women who have lost their lives as a result of gender-based violence.
